2nd best series of the year... it's gotta be the ball! Shame about those 3 opens in a row there.

Gotta bowl with Chris more often. We got together on Saturday and when we were done I had a new ball and renewed confidence in my release. I had let the thumb get too loose and was squeezing. Chris, I had to put 5 more pieces of tape in there but last night I had a free swing going and the ball was just hanging off my thumb in the backswing. My grip was so relaxed that the ball actually fell off my hand one time. Good revs all night long and lots of "nice ball" comments from other bowlers.

Gotta also say thanks to Domokun, who mentioned pinky placement in one of his comments a few weeks back. At least I think it was him. It's helped me a whole bunch to spread it out on spare attempts, especially improving my rate on picking up the evil 10 pin.

Overall I'm pleased with the decision to go straight at spares, despite those three misses in the 3rd game last night. Gonna persevere dammit!

Thanks for the ball. Tom's ready to fit my thumb on the infinite one tonight, so I'll have a full bag soon.
