Second game I thought I'd get my first ever clean game. Then I got a 5-7 split in the 10th. Oh well, had to settle for a 211 for the game.
Every time I go out I'm bowling better, all because of an article I read. 2 weeks left in league bowling, I read an article about controlling the hook. Suggested setting up with the hand fully under the ball. I'd been setting up with my thumb pointing at about 10 o'clock. Moved it to 12 o'clock.
Prior to that week I'd struggled, sometimes failing to break 100. I had a 123 average. First game after the change was a 208. Gained 7 pins on my average over the last 2 weeks.
Now, my last practice series was a 544 - 181 average. Struggled on the 3rd game, and still got a 161.
Bowling is fun again.
