Series

Wanted to fix some posture issues, and ended up discovering some things about axis tilt with a couple of my balls. The axis tilt increase seemed to work better on the iQ and Venus. Not sure if it was because they are meant to roll a bit more and earlier.

  • 1) Bad release; ball stuck on thumb on both shots
  • 2) Shoulders were too open
  • 3) Too much body tilt.
  • 4) Flat 10; distracted on the 2nd shot hence the miss.
  • 5) A little slow and the shoulders weren't completely around and square.
  • 10) Pulled the ball

Fixing bad habits is hard, hence the score. Have to fix these habits because there were too many easy spares missed.

  • 1) Barely missed the spare pickup
  • 3) Stuck at the line and the release was poor, so I expected something like a 7 pin lead.
  • 5) Finish position was a little off.
  • 6) Change in axis tilt. The roll of the ball looked off. Not really any transition through the phases.
  • 10) More axis tilt=better rolling ball and blasting strike
  • 11) No axis tilt and a change in axis rotation still gave the ball a decent roll and path into the pocket.
  • 12) Change back to axis tilt and the ball rolled and transitioned much better.

Switched to the Venus to see what I could do with it because it is always my problem child. And I found some success once I adjusted my axis tilt.

  • 5) Axis tilt experimentation withiQ
  • 7) Wanted to get some rolls on the Hy-road as well so I tried the axis tilt experiment with it as well. This shot...did not go so well. Rushed the first shot and pulled the second shot
  • 8) A much better shot.
  • 9) Drifted and didn't use the axis tilt to see what would happen.
  • 10) Switched back to using axis tilt. Pulled the ball some
  • 11) The axis tilt on the Hy-road seems to delay it a little too much.

Continued with axis tilt experimentation and keeping posture straight up.
