Oh, what could have been.

Was completely lined up in practice for a change - couldn't miss on any line I tried. Too bad it didn't translate over to the series. Started off with 2 ringing 10 pins and I was thinking here we go again? Seemed to get lined up OK, but was just slightly off before two washouts, with no fingers on either. Made one, but only 1 double and an open netted a 189.

Game 2 was about the same and illustrated my season so far. Nice shots to start but only managed to sandwich strikes around a solid 9. Was on my target a little better, but got loose with the speed in the 4th and 5th for 2 splits. Came back with a double and then left a 7 pin on a shot that was just crushed. Again only 1 double to show for it and 2 opens for a 185.

Last game I started with the same line, but decided to change direction starting in the 2nd, moving left 3 and 1. Wished I had moved earlier since I proceeded to strike on 7 of my next 8 shots. True to form, had a possible 269 going into the 10th, but threw a solid first ball and my reward was a 7-10. Nice game of 235, but I was left wanting for more.
