Pair: 45-46

  • 2) Ringing
  • 4) Too slow, stuck on approach on the spare attempt
  • 6) Another ringing 10
  • 8) Thought this was a good shot with the ball change, but it just dove on me
  • 9) Got this left hand lane down

Just couldn't get lucky on the right hand lane - of course the 2 splits didn't help either

Strange day. Walked in and the manager told me they hadn't oiled our pair - great. Tried to get lined up with my benchmark ball in practice, but couldn't keep it right. Used my spare ball and actually had a solid shot. Really got unlucky in game 1 since I was just pounding the pocket. Left an 8-pin that slid over to 7.5, solid 7 and a solid 9 pin. Should have been at least in the 240's but settled for a clean 224.

As game 1 progressed, I was getting more and more belt marks on my ball. After the final frame, the manager was down in our area so I showed him my ball and he had them check the lane - he ultimately moved us over a pair.

The down side of the lane change was that the shot next door just didn't have the same back end. Threw two light shots before trying to adjust speed - didn't execute well and paid for it with a split. Settled for the light shot and made a ball change on the right lane only that seemed to have some success, finishing with a 190

Third game struck every shot on the left lane, but had some bad breaks on the right with 2 ringing 10's and 2 splits. Finally seemed to figure it out in the 10th after another ball change on the right lane only again, finishing with a 191.

Felt like I bowled better than my score would indicate again. Solid pocket shots for the most part, only spare misses were the 3 splits. Only a 605 to show for it. I can't be too upset since this was 38 pins over my week 1 effort.
